"Why Protons are 100x Heavier than Their Quarks"

This paper challenges the conventional Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) narrative by proposing that proton mass arises primarily from internal magnetic energy—what I define as Magnetic Energy Architecture (MEA)—rather than from gluon dynamics or the Higgs mechanism. Through a conceptual and semi-quantitative analysis, I argue that quark magnetic moments generate intense internal magnetic fields that confine energy, producing a mass that is approximately 100 times greater than the sum of the quark rest masses. This framework offers falsifiable predictions, such as proton mass shifts under ultra-strong magnetic fields and excess gamma-ray production during annihilation events. The model also has implications for dark matter and high-efficiency energy technologies. It is a bold reframing of proton structure rooted in magnetic confinement rather than color charge interaction. ---

Abstract
