Symmetry Lost and Found: Resolving the Black Hole Information Paradox through Informational Symmetry Breaking
This paper proposes a unifying principle for understanding information as a measure of symmetry breaking within systems. By conceptualizing symmetry as potential and its breaking as the genesis of information, we explore how this framework applies across quantum mechanics, relativity, complexity, learning, intelligence, entropy, emergence, and evolution. Specifically, we address the black hole information paradox, suggesting that information is not lost but conserved through the dynamic interplay of global and local symmetry breaking. Hawking radiation, via subtle quantum correlations, gradually releases this information, resolving the paradox by demonstrating that information is encoded in patterns of broken symmetry.
