Usefulness of Individualized Education Programmes (IEPs) in Social Skills Improvement of Students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities: As Systematic Review & Meta Analysis
This study examines the function of Individualized Education Programmes (IEPs) in the improvement of social skills among students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID). Notwithstanding obstacles such inadequate teacher training, limited family engagement, and insufficient resources, data indicates that well implemented IEPs enhance essential social skills, including peer relationships, emotional control, and communication. This study synthesises data from the previous two decades, highlighting the beneficial effects of IEPs for kids with MID, addressing the obstacles to effective implementation, and suggesting options for improvement. Recommendations for practice include improving teacher training, promoting family involvement, augmenting resource distribution, and supporting regulatory changes to guarantee the proper implementation of IEPs.
