Lifecraft: An Android Based Application System for Women Safety
Throughout history, women have been pivotal to the development and prosperity of societies, contributing significantly to various aspects of life. However, the constant threat of violence and harassment continues to impede their full participation and inclusion in society. This highlights the need for innovative and effective solutions to safeguard their well-being. The alarming rise in violent crimes targeting women and children further emphasizes the urgency for a comprehensive and advanced safety system. In response to this growing concern, the Lifecraft app was developed, making use of the widespread availability of smartphones to address the pressing need for a reliable safety solution. While primarily aimed at protecting women, Lifecraft is also designed to be accessible for men in emergency situations, thus providing a broader safety network for all. This application offers a suite of features that aim to reduce the risk of crimes against individuals and ensure quick assistance when danger strikes. It can be easily activated through voice commands or the SOS button, both of which trigger the app to send regular location updates to pre-set emergency contacts. This ensures that help can be dispatched promptly in the event of an emergency. By utilizing the power of modern smartphone technology, Lifecraft aims to give individuals, particularly women, a dependable and efficient mechanism for personal security. Acknowledging that many instances of abuse and violence often lack clear evidence, the app’s audio recording feature becomes crucial in documenting such incidents. Furthermore, the app’s continuous location tracking and safe zone features provide users with a sense of confidence and control over their environment. By integrating all of these capabilities into one intuitive platform, Lifecraft represents a major advancement in the field of personal safety, offering a robust solution to combat harassment and ensure the well-being of its users.
