Paper 55: Emergence of Color Charge and Confinement from Angular Phase Strain in the Holosphere Lattice
This paper presents a mechanism-level reinterpretation of the strong and residual strong interactions within Holosphere Theory. Instead of treating color as a fundamental charge and gluons as ontological mediator fields, the model describes strong interaction phenomena using triadic angular strain dynamics governed by local admissibility gates and closure constraints. “Color” is treated as a structural classification of dominant strain across three orthogonal channels, and confinement is modeled as a coherence requirement: isolated single-channel configurations cannot persist because stable states require diadic or triadic closure. A saturating strain-containment potential is introduced as a confinement analogue, with a short-distance slope that functions as a string-tension proxy. Mesons are modeled as transient diadic strain packets, while baryons are modeled as closed three-channel configurations reinforced by shell coupling. The residual nuclear force arises from outer-shell coherence compatibility with finite spatial reach, reinterpreting pion exchange as a coherence-mediated reconfiguration process. SU(3) notation is retained as a compact bookkeeping framework for the finite set of admissible strain reconfigurations rather than as a fundamental continuous gauge symmetry. The paper concludes by outlining falsifiable test hooks—particularly orientation and environment sensitivity—while explicitly deferring fusion-related extensions and electroweak mappings to future work.
