Cosmic Inflation from the Emergent σ-Fluid

We propose an inflationary phase arising naturally in the σ-Calculus due to the dynamicalevolution of the tension-network exponent n(a). Near the ultraviolet fixed point (n → 1), the equation-of-state parameter w induces exponential expansion. We derive thescale-factor evolution, compute the number of e-folds, and predict a nearly scale-invariant power spectrum for scalar perturbations. This mechanism requires no additional scalar fieldor potential, but relies solely on the RG flow of the ω-fluid. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15424230

Abstract

We propose an inflationary phase arising naturally in the σ-Calculus due to the dynamicalevolution of the tension-network exponent n(a). Near the ultraviolet fixed point (n → 1), the equation-of-state parameter w induces exponential expansion. We derive thescale-factor evolution, compute the number of e-folds, and predict a nearly scale-invariant power spectrum for scalar perturbations. This mechanism requires no additional scalar fieldor potential, but relies solely on the RG flow of the ω-fluid. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15424230
