Material examined. 8♂, CHINA, Hubei Province: Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Xuan’en County, Qizimeishan National Nature Reserve; 29.9782‒30.0168°N, 109.7031‒109.7186°E; elev. 800‒900 m; 27‒30 June 2023; C.H. Hu & M. Wei leg. Diagnosis and Description. See Zhu (1998). Remarks. This species shares the same somatic characteristics with Episunus nanyue Yin, 2012, including dark brown carapace with 3 pairs of light brown lateral markings, brown markings on legs, and pairs of transverse black lines on posterior part of opisthosoma (Fig. 21A, B, E, F, I, J). Therefore, this species is likely to be conspecific with E. nanyue. Further research is needed to conclusively resolve this question. Distribution. China (Hubei).
