OPERATIONAL DETERMINATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE NORTH FERGA-NA MAIN CANAL
Abstract The efficiency of irrigation canals is the main indicator of the system operation. The efficiency of canals is affected by many factors, such as water flow, which is constantly changing, the channel material, the site nature, canal operating conditions, groundwater location, water temperature, air and other factors. Inaccurate determination of the canal efficiency leads to incorrect accounting and distribution of water, which usually affects farms, especially whose lands are located at the end of the watercourse. The research has been carried out to determine the efficiency of the North Fergana Main Canal. A software has been developed for the prompt determination of the canals efficiency, based on the results of numerous theoretical and practical studies of water flow movement. At the software developing all modules affecting to the canal efficiency were taken into account to obtain accurate results. The soft is designed in the MS Access database which accumulates data on different level objects and allows them to be monitored.
