The article is devoted to the study of the history of creation. Origin and receipt in the National Museum of History of Ukraine of the portrait of the representative of the Ukrainian Cossack family – Polubotok Anastasia, born Leontovych, who actively supported the construction of the Orthodox Church and participated in the creation of icons in Chernihiv region. The author considers the portrait in the context of prosopographic research, taking into account literary, archival and visual sources.
