Non-negative matrix factorization pipeline for multimuscle motor-evoked potential

This repository contains the non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) analytical pipeline used to compute entropy of NMF-derived VAF (HVAF) for the manuscript "Complexity of neural outputs elicited by transcranial magnetic stimulation" (Morishita et al. 2025, Journal of Neurophysiology). The pipeline also computes motor-evoked modules for the manuscript "Motor-evoked modules obtained from transcranial magnetic stimulation" (Morishita et al. in preparation). It includes: Main pipeline to compute HVAF and motor-evoked modules from multimuscle motor-evoked potential (MEP) data Sample data for the pipeline Note: This version (v2) is archived for reproducibility At the time of publication, the repository is set as restricted access, as it includes modules that are part of ongoing (Morishita et al. in preparation) research The pipeline will be made publicly available upon acceptance of the ongoing work All materials are provided under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 What is new in v2 (relative to v1): Documentation expansion: Added a comprehensive section on assumptions, known limitations, and edge cases Important note: Core computations are UNCHANGED relative to v1
