Surgical Clipping a Minimally Invasive interventional System for Tumor Shrinking
A tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue that arises from uncontrolled or excessivecellular proliferation, which can be either benign or malignant. Benign tumors aretypically slow-growing, localized, and non-invasive, whereas malignant tumors(cancers) exhibit aggressive growth, invasion into surrounding tissues, and thepotential to metastasize to distant sites.Tumors require a continuous supply ofoxygen and nutrients to sustain their rapid growth, which is facilitated throughangiogenesis the formation of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones.Blockingthe blood flow to a tumor vessel through surgical clipping can lead to tumorshrinkage by cutting off its oxygen and nutrient supply.
