UZBEKISTAN'S ROAD NETWORK: LINKS WITH NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES-A DETAILED REVIEW
The transport roads connecting Uzbekistan with neighboring countries and their significant role in strengthening economic and social ties in Central Asia. The main difficulties of the road infrastructure are considered, such as poor road quality in some sections, outdated checkpoints, logistical difficulties, as well as security issues and insufficient capacity on some routes. Measures are envisaged to improve road infrastructure, including road surface modernization, reconstruction of checkpoints, introduction of technologies to facilitate cargo transportation and speed up border crossing, and programs to improve safety. The implementation of these measures will strengthen Uzbekistan's transport links with neighboring countries, promote economic growth, reduce transport costs, stimulate tourism development, and increase the investment attractiveness of the region.
