Water as a Medium For Advancing Optical & Quantum Computing
Abstract: Water, one of the essential elements of nature, has recently been proposed to be a promising medium for the development of optical and quantum computing. Its high transparency in certain wavelengths and control of light by refraction and scattering are favourable aspects making it a good candidate for the application of photonic computing. The molecular structure of water also shows quantum coherence under specific conditions, providing opportunities for quantum information processing. The research investigates the potential of water as a computational medium and its application in optical signal transmission, quantum entanglement, and photonic data storage. We examine recent experimental results, theoretical approaches, and feasibility issues of using water in computing technology. The research tries to fill the gap between advanced computing and natural sciences and propose a new avenue for sustainable and energy-efficient data processing systems.
