Money Laundering: (India Focused)
Abstract: This research critically examines India’s legal framework against money laundering, focusing on the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, and key Supreme Court decisions like Vijay Madanlal Choudhary v. Union of India (2022). Using a doctrinal research approach, the study analyzes modern laundering techniques, enforcement challenges, and India’s compliance with international standards such as those set by FATF. It concludes that while legislative progress is evident, issues like digital laundering threats and procedural fairness remain significant hurdles for effective implementation.
