THE ROLE OF ECOTOURISM IN SHAPING THE ECOLOGICAL CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE POPULATION

The article analyzes the phenomenon of ecotourism as a form of ecologization of the lifestyle of the population. The materials of a mass sociological survey of the population of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted in 2007 made it possible to estimate the share of ecotourists in the republic, identify the attitudes of the population towards the consumption of eco-tourism products, and analyze the factors influencing the choice of vacation destinations.
