COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF LEXICAL UNITS EXPRESSING HUMAN SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL STATES IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES
Annotation: This analysis examines the relationship between language and emotion, focusing on English and Uzbek. It shows how linguistic structures, vocabulary, and cultural contexts shape emotional expression, referencing frameworks like the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis and Paul Ekman's Universal Emotions Theory. The study explores lexical units for positive and negative emotions as well as spiritual terms in both languages, highlighting individualism in English versus collectivism in Uzbek. The comparative assessment reveals similarities and differences in emotional articulation and suggests directions for future research on language dynamics in a globalized world.
