Collaborative Network for the development of Non-Destructive Inspection Technologies: Elicitation requirements in an industrial environment

The development of Zero Defects and Zero Waste (ZDZW) solutions to implement in-process inspection technologies requires collaborative networks due to the involvement of several stakeholders. The quality assurance digital transformation in the EU industry demands the integration of non-destructive inspection technologies (NDIT) to boost manufacturing competitiveness and resilience. These engagements between the partners that conform to the collaborative networks are needed to provide competitive and innovative products in manufacturing quality assurance. The efforts of the subject matter experts will be focused on the definition of the engineering requirements based on the hardware, software (including artificial intelligence algorithms for defect detection) and data management. In this paper, the different elicitation requirements for developing NDIT solutions are categorised, quantified, and analysed to develop in-process control activities
