SPINMATE: D6.1 Large Pouch Cell and Module Prototypes Design & Assembly Definitions
In this document, all efforts done in designing 1 Ah and 10 Ah cells using the optimised values for cell components and process parameters, which were performed during M19 to M25 in WP6, are presented. This includes i) definitions and designs of 1Ah and 10 Ah pouch cells and ii) cell holder (jig) design for both 1 and 10 Ah pouch cells. It should be noted that the details used to design the initial modules are also included in the eco-design deliverable of D2.2, which is supposed to be finalised in T6.4 later. In the first part, the parameters used for the cathode, solid electrolyte layer and lithium metal anode are fully described for both 1 Ah and 10 Ah pouch cells. Then these parameters are discussed regarding their economic and environmental influences. In the second part of D6.1, the process of optimising the cell holder design regarding its effectiveness on pressure distribution is investigated, and finally, its optimised version is introduced.
