Зменшувано-пестливі форми іменника і прикметника в поезії Лесі Українки та Михайля Семенка (корпусний аналіз)
The concept of the ethics of care and humanism in its various manifestations can be traced back to the very foundations of Western civilisation. In the present paper, we pay attention to diminutives since the challenges of contemporary life, marked by rapid technological advancements, social fragmentation, and global crises, prompt us to search for comforting and soothing linguistic communicative strategies as an expression of warmth, intimacy, and emotional connection. Within poetic expression, the ethics of care is conveyed, particularly through certain grammatical units that carry axiological significance and are morphemically embedded in diminutive nouns and adjectives. This allows for an in-depth exploration of idiostyle utilised by the tools of GRAC. Our study sheds light on how Lesia Ukrainka and Mykhail Semenko employed diminutives to create poetic meanings in their poetries. The use of diminutives reflects broader tendencies, reinforcing the idea that language can be a tool for fostering care and human connection.
