Using Git and GitHub in Software Engineering
This paper examines the crucial roles that Git and GitHub play in contemporary software engineering, emphasizing how they affect project management, collaborative development, and version control. Based on the author's own experience using GitHub Pages to create a static website, it illustrates how branching, pull requests, and GitHub Actions promote effective and superior software development. The article makes the case that Agile is the best development approach for integrating GitHub because of its emphasis on collaboration, iterative nature, and automation through CI/CD methods. In the end, Git and GitHub are portrayed as crucial resources that assist with the organizational and technological requirements of software engineering in both solo and collaborative settings.
