The Higgs Field Reinterpreted via Closed Surface Dynamics: A Geometric Origin of Mass
This paper proposes a geometric reinterpretation of the Higgs field based on closed surface theory. Rather than treating the Higgs field as a scalar entity responsible for spontaneous symmetry breaking, we define it as the direction of incomplete vector interference orthogonal to closed equipotential surfaces (ϕ₀ᵢ). In this framework, mass arises where vector closure fails and space is geometrically asserted (dx/dt ≠ 0), while complete interference (∮A = 0) corresponds to vacuum. The so-called “filling” of space by the Higgs field is re-expressed as an accumulation of stacked closed surfaces with scalar values, whose integration results in volume and mass. This model unifies mass, space generation, and field interactions through tangible geometric principles, offering an alternative foundation for understanding mass emergence without invoking abstract scalar fields.
