Educational Status and Transgender Heterogeneity: An intersectional study of Select Transgender Autobiographies

Education plays a major role in defining and differentiating the lives of individuals–in this case, trans individuals. In light of this, the homogeneous othering of trans identity can be subjected to criticism, especially when considering the impact of education. An intersectional approach to the categories of gender identity and education provides a more pluralistic perspective, offering a nuanced understanding of the diverse experiences within trans identities.
