Probing Electron Identity in a Double Slit Experiment

The double-slit experiment is often interpreted as evidence of wave-particle duality, with the electron"interfering with itself" in a superposition of states. Some speculative models suggest that theelectron's wave function collapse involves energy redistribution or even decomposition. This paperproposes a decisive experiment to test whether the electron remains a coherent, indivisible entityduring interference. By measuring the total negative charge deposited on a metallic detection screenand comparing it to the number of electrons fired, we can determine if charge is conserved perelectron. The Vacuum Energy Quanta Field (VEQF) soliton model predicts full charge conservation,as the electron is a stable, localized excitation that drifts through one slit. If confirmed, this resultwould support non-quantum, mechanistic models of quantum phenomena and challengeinterpretations that imply physical splitting or destruction of the electron.
