Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication Using Li-Fi Technology
This paper explores the integration of Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) technology in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication to enhance road safety and accident prevention. Li-Fi, a form of Visible Light Communication (VLC), enables high-speed wireless data transmission using light-emitting diodes (LEDs), offering advantages such as increased bandwidth, low latency, and immunity to radio frequency interference. By leveraging these features, V2V communication can facilitate real-time exchange of critical information between vehicles, significantly reducing the risk of collisions. This study presents an advanced accident detection and prevention system using Li-Fi technology, a crucial component in intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Communication between vehicles has been identified as one of the most effective strategies for minimizing traffic accidents. The proposed system integrates multiple sensors, including alcohol and ultrasonic sensors, to detect potential hazards. When two vehicles come into proximity, the system generates instant alerts, allowing for timely preventive actions. By implementing this Li-Fi-based V2V communication system, the study aims to enhance road safety and protect human lives through improved accident detection and mitigation strategies.
