India's Renewable Energy Transition: Growth Trajectories, Challenges, and Future Prospects

Abstract: This research discusses the environmental implication, growth pattern, and potential for the future of solar, wind, and hydro power in India. In the wake of rising energy consumption and climate issues, the shift to renewable sources is imperative. Applying time-series forecasting techniques like ARIMA and Holt-Winters, this research analyzes installed capacity patterns and emissions abatement. Results show promising development in solar and wind power but policy stability, grid connection, and storage are issues of concern. The research emphasizes the importance of sustainable energy policy and infrastructure development to achieve India's 500 GW renewable energy goal by 2030. Keywords: Renewable Energy, Solar Power, Wind Energy, Hydroelectricity, Environmental Impact, Sustainability JEL Classification Number: Q42, Q48, Q54, O13, P18
