Report on test beams and characterizations

Overview of the extensive test beam campaigns conducted within AIDAInnova WP6 Task 6.3, focused on the characterization of 3D sensors and LGADs (including TI-LGADs) for timing applications. Between 2023–2025, over 10 weeks of beam time at CERN and DESY enabled the study of irradiated and non-irradiated samples from RD50 and AIDAInnova productions. The work included detailed setup development, trigger and alignment strategies, and data acquisition using custom readout electronics and the AIDA telescope. Preliminary timing and tracking analyses are ongoing.
