Closed Surface as Electron: The Schrödinger Equation Revisited
This short paper proposes a geometric reinterpretation of the Schrödinger equation by assuming that the electron is not a point particle, but a minimal closed surface. Under this assumption, two core aspects of the equation—(1) energy conservation in isolated systems and (2) orthogonality between position and momentum vectors—are no longer mysterious postulates, but become natural consequences of closed surface geometry. The wavefunction, in this view, describes modes of surface deformation and circulation, rather than probability amplitudes. This reframing provides intuitive clarity to the formal structure of quantum mechanics and opens the path for reconciling it with dynamic geometry and surface-based field theory. The document includes a theoretical formulation and the author’s rephrased equations.
