Digital Health Tools in Chronic Disease Management: Insights from India
This systematic review evaluates the role of digital health interventions in managing chronic diseases in India, focusing on Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and obesity. Using Synthory.AI, the review synthesized findings from six studies published between 2018 and 2025. Key outcomes include improved glycemic control, weight management, and cardiometabolic risk reduction. Despite promising results, limitations such as short follow-up durations and restricted generalizability highlight the need for robust randomized trials and diverse participant recruitment. Future research should address technological literacy and retention challenges to optimize engagement and scalability of digital health tools for chronic disease management in India.
