Intensive duck rearing is carried out by the Merauke Regency Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Serviceas an effort to increase the duck population by providing quality seeds (DOD). This research aims todetermine and describe the management of duck rearing at the Merauke Regency Food Security, Livestockand Animal Health Service. This research uses qualitative research methods. Data collection using in-depthinterviews, observation and document study. The management of laying duck care at the Merauke RegencyAnimal Husbandry and Animal Health Service has been carried out well by selecting laying duck seeds fromMojosari Ducks, cages and equipment are available in the form of lighting, places to eat and drink as well asgood maintenance and sanitation management, but quality feed. Egg laying ducks are not always availableand the amount given is not in accordance with needs, causing egg production to decrease.
