Delito, violencia, seguridad y adicciones en adolescentes y jóvenes: retos sociales y perspectivas para la prevención y la formación integral
In recent years, crime, violence, and substance abuse have reached alarming dimensions, consolidating as major social challenges with profound repercussions at the international, national, and local levels. Rather than isolated occurrences, these phenomena are deeply embedded in a complex nexus of social, cultural, and economic factors that erode the social fabric. In this context, universities, as integral components of society, have not remained exempt from the effects of this social deterioration. This article adopts a comprehensive analytical approach, examining the influence of individual behavior, family dynamics, cultural values, economic conditions, security frameworks, and preventive strategies. Its aim is to elucidate the root causes of these issues and to propose viable pathways for the promotion of peace, grounded in the principles of legality, social norms, and ethical standards.
