Equivalence of Acceleration in Flat and Curved Spacetimes

AbstractThis paper examines how acceleration is correctly applied to bodies for observers in various frames of reference to show an equivalence of gravitational acceleration as a worldline that follows a straight path through flat spacetime and acceleration due to energy as a worldline that follows a curved path through flat spacetime and so also an equivalence of a uniform acceleration of a body due to energy and that of an inertial body. Black holes are used to show how gravitational acceleration affects the frames of reference of observers that are falling freely towards the Schwarzschild radius and that of observers at a distance.
