COVID-19 Impact on Public Health
After SARS-CoV (2003) and MERS-CoV (2012), a third highly deadly coronavirus entered the human population in the end of 2019, and the World Health Organization (WHO) formally designated it a worldwide pandemic on March 11, 2020. In fact, the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed at a never-before-seen pace: following its debut in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of the People's Republic of China's Hubei province, the global total of confirmed cases continued to rise rapidly. An overview of the effects of COVID-19 on health is given in this publication, along with recommendations for various foods that might strengthen the immune systems of afflicted people. Alternatively, we have discussed the benefits and drawbacks of COVID-19 for the environment, including air, water, waste, and energy quality, as well as the pandemic's effects on human psyche, education, and the world economy. We have also made an effort to devise various ways to mitigate the adverse effects of the epidemic.
