A PÁGINA E A TELA: EXPLORANDO AS PRÁTICAS DE LETRAMENTO LITERÁRIO
This article addresses the integration of literature and cinema as didactic strategies inElementary School, based on the analysis of a teaching proposal implemented in 9th-grade classes at theDomingos José Diniz Costa Belém Municipal School in Contagem, MG. The aim was to stimulate theformation of literary readers (Lajolo; Zilberman, 2019) and spectators (Eiterer, 2008), as well as fostercognitive and emotional circles of belonging (Petit, 2009), considering literature as a universal necessityand a human right (Cândido, 2011). The justification for the work was the development of literacy practices(Paulino; Cosson, 2009) in the school. The proposal was based on the study of the compositional structureand theme of Stephen Chbosky's book and film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which allowed theexploration of intertextual, interdiscursive and intersemiotic resources by using both media (Santaella,1983). The activities carried out included the reading circle (Cosson, 2021) with a structured break(Dell'Isola, 2001) and the study of the construction of literary and audiovisual narratives, highlightingcinematographic compositional strategies (Duarte, 2002). The results presented point that studentstransformed the act of reading and watching films into aesthetic, ethical and intersemiotic enjoyment, aswell as the construction of identity and broader circles of belonging. Therefore, the work reinforced theimportance of pedagogical practices that promote literature and cinema as tools for the critical, aestheticand human development of students.
