STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF DISTRIBUTED DATA COLLECTION SYSTEMS USING IOTTECHNOLOGIES
The article considers the possibility of replacing the fiber-optic communication line used for monitoring the condition of the main oil pipeline with a distributed system of wireless IoT-sensors. The relevance of the study is due to the high cost of laying and maintaining fiber optic cables, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The paper conducts a comparative analysis of modern wireless data transmission technologies and justifies the choice of an optimal communication protocol for application in oil pipeline conditions. The MQTT protocol is considered as the main candidate, considering its energy efficiency, reliability and resistance to instability of communication channels. The key system requirements and the structure of data transmission from sensors to the operator are presented.
