Paper 54: Emergent Gravity and Cosmology from Coherence Strain in the Holosphere Lattice
We propose and test a single, falsifiable mechanism in which both gravity and the observed cosmic acceleration emerge from the same underlying microphysics: a discrete, rotating SU(2)/S³ “holosphere”—a lattice of tiny, spinning coherence units whose orientations tend to align. Spatial variations in alignment source an effective tensor field SμνS_{\mu\nu}Sμν that reproduces attractive, curvature-like gravity in the weak-strain limit, recovering familiar general-relativistic behavior. Simultaneously, the global rotation of the lattice drives a smooth scalar field ϕ(r)∝−αr\phi(r) \propto -\alpha rϕ(r)∝−αr that acts as a repulsive background. For a broad class of radial weightings, the associated scalar energy fraction fϕ=ρϕ/ρrestf_\phi = \rho_\phi / \rho_{\rm rest}fϕ=ρϕ/ρrest lies in a narrow band [0.66,0.68][0.66, 0.68][0.66,0.68], with a symbolic baseline ⟨γ⟩=π\langle\gamma\rangle = \pi⟨γ⟩=π and a refined area-weighted value ⟨γ⟩=15π/16\langle\gamma\rangle = 15\pi/16⟨γ⟩=15π/16, offering a nonparametric route to cosmic acceleration without invoking a cosmological constant. Gravitational waves emerge as transverse coherence oscillations that propagate at the speed of light with general-relativistic polarisations, while allowing tiny, path-dependent polarisation rotations and mild dispersion under anisotropic saturation. The framework also predicts a local, Casimir-like coherence floor: a shell-wise mode-suppression energy density ρvacshell∼K ℏc/R4\rho_{\rm vac}^{\rm shell} \sim K\,\hbar c / R^4ρvacshell∼Kℏc/R4 that regularises local dynamics but remains negligible on cosmic scales. We specify concrete falsifiability criteria: failure to observe narrowing of σR\sigma_RσR with improved coherence preparation; timing asymmetry panels with κˉC≥0\bar\kappa_C \ge 0κˉC≥0; beam-bending exceeding the ±20% corridor-optics envelope; or gravitational-wave polarisation rotations uncorrelated with the integrated anisotropy budget ϵaniso\epsilon_{\rm aniso}ϵaniso. Altogether, we position general relativity as the small-strain limit of a deeper SU(2)/S³ coherence lattice, with a TDR spinor boundary at λ=π\lambda = \piλ=π for mechanical realisations, and offer a framework grounded in explicit observables and testable departures from metric-expansion physics.
