Tokenization of Real Estate - a fintech study
This study explores the transformative potential of tokenization in the real estate sector, driven by blockchain technology and FinTech innovation. Tokenization enables fractional ownership of property by converting real estate assets into digital tokens, enhancing liquidity, transparency, and accessibility for investors worldwide. Through platforms like Ethereum, RealT, and tZERO, investors can trade property shares much like stocks, reducing entry barriers and transaction costs. The research presents real-world case studies, analyzes market growth, and identifies key challenges such as regulatory ambiguity, security concerns, and limited investor awareness. With global market projections reaching billions by 2030 and increasing institutional interest, the paper concludes that real estate tokenization is poised to redefine property investment by making it more inclusive, efficient, and digitally driven.
