Life on Earth is sustained by complex interactions between organisms and their environment. These biotic interactions can be captured in datasets and published digitally. We present a review and archiving process for such an openly accessible digital interactions dataset of known origin and discuss its outcome. The dataset under review, named zedomel/portalier2018, has fingerprint hash://md5/e9df7409f68ae03e8cb7d4a75a51b853, is 2.69MiB in size and contains 33,330 interaction with 1 unique type of association (e.g., preysOn) between 85 primary taxa (e.g., Thunnus alalunga) and 165 associated taxa (e.g., fish unidentified). This report includes detailed summaries of interaction data, a taxonomic review from multiple catalogs, and an archived version of the dataset from which the reviews are derived.
