A Temporal Field Model for Light Deflection: Numerical Consistency with Observations Without Assuming General Relativity"

This work presents an alternative geometric approach to understanding gravitational light deflection using a scalar temporal field . Without relying on the full framework of general relativity, we explore whether time inhomogeneity alone can account for observed bending of light near massive objects. The model yields results numerically close to classical predictions, suggesting that temporal curvature might offer a complementary or underlying explanation. While the approach is still in an early stage, we hope it contributes a fresh perspective to ongoing discussions in gravitational physics.

Abstract

This work presents an alternative geometric approach to understanding gravitational light deflection using a scalar temporal field . Without relying on the full framework of general relativity, we explore whether time inhomogeneity alone can account for observed bending of light near massive objects. The model yields results numerically close to classical predictions, suggesting that temporal curvature might offer a complementary or underlying explanation. While the approach is still in an early stage, we hope it contributes a fresh perspective to ongoing discussions in gravitational physics.
