SOCIAL ENGINEEING IN THE DIGITAL AGE: EXPLORING THE HUMAN FACTOR IN CYBER SECURITY
Social engineering is a growing concern in the digital age, as it exploits human psychology rather than technical vulnerabilities. This study explores the human factor in cybersecurity, examining the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by social engineers to manipulate individuals into divulging sensitive information or performing actions that compromise security. Through a review of existing literature and case studies, this research highlights the importance of awareness training, strict security policies, and proper document handling in mitigating social engineering risks in society.
