THE ROLE OF SELF-ASSESSMENT AND PEER-ASSESSMENT IN EVALUATING SOCIOLINGUISTIC COMPETENCE IN PRIMARY SCHOOL LEARNERS
This study examines the importance of self-assessment and peer-assessment in evaluating sociolinguistic competence among primary school learners. Sociolinguistic competence refers to the ability to use language appropriately in different social situations, which cannot be fully captured through traditional assessment methods. Self-assessment helps learners analyze their own language use, while peer-assessment provides alternative perspectives on communication skills.
