Abstract One of the current scientific and practical tasks in the field of prevention and treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases (IPD) is the substantiation of recommendations for the use of hygiene products (SH). The solution to this problem involves taking into account the peculiarities of the pathogenesis of VZP, often combined with increased sensitivity (hyperesthesia) of the teeth. In the presence of hyperesthesia, prevention and treatment of VZP using traditional hygiene products is difficult.
