Stand Up for Europe Exchange and Best Practices
The Stand Up for Europe project aims to increase the quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work, and to promote active citizenship, young people's sense of initiative, and youth entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, to enable people to effectively embrace European values. Another goal of the Stand Up for Europe project is updating and Europeanising a proven argumentation training, Training Against Regular Table Slogans, and spreading it to other European countries. This document offers a comparative exploration of argumentation training and values education across five European countries, conducted within the framework of the Stand Up for Europe project. It seeks to contribute to the development of innovative educational tools that empower youth workers to effectively counter anti-democratic narratives and foster a culture of civic dialogue. By drawing on national insights, research findings, and exemplary practices, the report provides both a conceptual foundation and a practical inspiration for strengthening democratic engagement among young people. Its purpose is to serve as a catalyst for future pedagogical innovation rooted in European values.
