Introduction to Quantum Computing: Computational Perspective

"Introduction to Quantum Computing from a Computational Perspective" provides an overview of quantum computing, focusing on its core principles and how it differs from classical computation. This talk will introduce the concept of qubits and their ability to exist in superposition, as well as the role of quantum gates in manipulating quantum information. From a computational point of view, we will explore how these unique properties enable new ways of processing information and solving problems. We will also discuss the challenges of developing quantum hardware and the potential applications of quantum computing in various fields. Freddy Alejandro Chaurra Gutiérrez, graduated in Physics Engineering at the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira (Colombia), Master in Computer Science (INAOE - Mexico), PhD in Computer Science in the area of Quantum Computing (INAOE - Mexico). He is currently working in the field of Quantum Information Processing and Quantum Machine Learning. He has given courses and talks on quantum computing, including general elements of computing and cybersecurity. He has participated as a speaker in different events, such as summer schools, computing meetings and international conferences.
