Sites, Phenomena, and the Search for Usable Kowledge: Beyond the "Standard Model" of Political Science?
We are grateful to the organizers of this symposium for inviting us to reflect on the above essays, each of which has taught us a great deal. Our engagement with the contributors to this symposium dates to APSA 2023 when the two of us were invited to serve as discussants for a panel chaired by Jeffrey Checkel. The papers on the panel sparked some stimulating conversations and lively exchanges, giving rise to the idea of revising the papers as part of a symposium.
