Every Constructive Prime Generator: A Finite Classification within Classical Mathematics

Prime Generation in Classical Mathematics: A Complete and Constructive ClassificationThis work presents a definitive classification of all constructively distinct methods for generating prime numbers under classical mathematics. We identify 21 disjoint mathematical domains, ranging from sieve theory and algebraic forms to symbolic logic and modular arithmetic, that collectively encompass all known prime-generating techniques. Within these domains, we formally enumerate 500 non-redundant, logically distinct methods, of which approximately 450 are drawn from existing literature and 50 are newly derived herein. Each method is rigorously proven to be constructively valid and non-equivalent under classical transformation rules. Closure arguments are provided to demonstrate that no further methods exist within the bounds of Zermelo–Fraenkel set theory and Peano arithmetic. This classification represents a formal completion of the constructive space of prime number generation and may inform future work in algorithmic number theory, symbolic logic, and computational mathematics.
