Introducing Intangible Assets Into The Digital Economy: A Scientific Approach to Asset Transformation Through Tokenisation

This paper explores a novel methodology for integrating intangible assets into the digital economy through blockchain-enabled tokenisation. Traditional systems of asset management fail to adequately value or capitalise on intangible assets such as intellectual property, know-how, and innovation portfolios, despite their centrality to modern economic activity. Drawing on an interdisciplinary model developed through practical application, this paper proposes a structured framework for converting intangible value into functional, tradeable, and liquid digital capital. By transforming traditional valuation into tokenised representations via smart contracts, the approach not only bridges accounting and innovation systems but also offers a pathway for entrepreneurs and companies to access finance, build equity, and participate in decentralised markets. The model is positioned within the context of digital finance, IP theory, and blockchain literature, providing both theoretical alignment and strategic implications for economic policy, venture creation, and financial reporting.
