Observation of Scalar Resonances at 227.78 and 250.00 GeV: Interpretation within a ϕ-Extended Effective Field Theory Framework
Observation of Scalar Resonances at 227.78 and 250.00 GeV in CMS Run 2 DataThis document presents preliminary evidence for two distinct scalar resonances in the four-lepton final state using the CMS Run 2 dataset (137 fb⁻¹ at √s = 13 TeV). The resonances are observed at 227.78 ± 0.20 GeV and 250.00 ± 0.15 GeV, matching precise theoretical predictions made by the ϕ-extended Effective Field Theory (ϕ-EFT) framework, which introduces transcendental operator scaling using π and ϕ.The first resonance exceeds 5σ local significance and aligns with recursion depth 8 in the ϕ-EFT hierarchy; the second, at 3.3σ, corresponds to recursion depth 9. Together, they provide strong evidence for mathematically-structured operator hierarchies in quantum field theory. This work interprets these resonances not as new particles, but as emergent signatures of deeper mathematical structures governing the Standard Model and its extensions. I have added the python script to show how we can theoretically identify both particles (and others) and the reference to the paper which explains this fully: Needham's Recursive Shell Model: A First-Principles Approach to Particle Mass Prediction DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15326056 For more information about the ENSO Framework contact, Eric Needham: [email protected]
