Technophobia and Intention to Use E-Government in Vietnam: The Mediating Role of Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Risk
The study proposes a research model with two mediators, Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Risk, to examine the impact of Technophobia on the Intention to Use e-Government of Vietnamese people. Through data analysis of 265 research samples collected from people nationwide, the research results found that Technophobia has a positive relationship with Perceived Risk. In addition, a direct relationship between Technophobia and Perceived Ease of Use and Intention to Use e-Government was not found. However, an indirect relationship between Technophobia and Intention to Use e-Government was demonstrated through the mediator Perceived Risk. Based on the research results, the authors propose to state management agencies solutions to reduce people's fear of technology and encourage people to use e-Government.
