Abstract: Access to clean and safe drinking water is a critical public health concern, particularly in urban areas experiencing rapid industrialization and population growth. Bhiwandi City, known for its textile industry and dense population, faces significant challenges related to water quality, raising concerns about waterborne diseases and health risks. This study aims to assess the need for water purifiers in Bhiwandi by evaluating water quality issues, consumer awareness, adoption rates, and key barriers to purifier usage. A structured survey was conducted among households to understand their perceptions, preferences, and challenges regarding water purifiers. The findings indicate despite awareness of water purifiers, adoption remains low due to factors such as high costs, maintenance concerns, and trust in existing water sources. The study highlights the need for increased awareness campaigns, government interventions, and affordable water purification solutions to ensure safe drinking water for all
