THE IMPORTANCE OF ABLUTIONS IN WORLD RELIGIONS

Buddhism, Orthodoxy and Islam as the most important means of cleansing the soul and body, sanctifying the life cycle and in the rite of religious acceptance. It describes various rituals in world religions in which water plays a key role. Based on the analysis of the theological literature, the author identifies commonalities and differences in the assessment of water in the religions under consideration. It is concluded that water is one of the most important components in the field of religious practice of the Abrahamic religions.
